Ok, I created a Facebook page a few months ago, and was amazed at the increase in page views. So, I’m now on Twitter too, and decided to update my GoodReads by adding a new page here about the books I’ve read, am reading, or want to read. So, feel free to add me as a friend on Facebook, Twitter, or Goodreads. Also, I’ve had the Networked Blogs up for a few months, but have only 1 follower besides myself (thanks Vickie!) Go to the bottom and add yourself!
And if you have any other suggestions for me, I’m all ears.
One thing to know about twitter is that it’s not just a matter of “if you build it, they will come.” Rather, you have to use it first to connect with others…RT links…make comments, respond and reply…try to connect.
And then, for all of that, then spread some of your own links. But it should definitely be more discussion or more promotion of others than your own stuff
Thanks Andrew, that sounds like good advice. Do I need to sign up for a URL shortening service? I notice my links aren’t in my Twitter, so I said “don’t shorten URL.”
Facebook has been good for me to know what you’ve posted on your blog. It shows up in my newsfeed which I check pretty much every day. I don’t check the blog nearly as often.
I don’t often comment, but I always read your posts. You are presenting some interesting information. Keep it up!
